Shingles!

Finally! The exterior shingling has started. The "jaggled look" won the selection contest, as I've always pictured 523 as a storybook cottage.

It occurred to me that you haven't met Mike yet. Mike joined us when Greg aggravated an old shoulder injury and was ordered (it took that...) not to do certain aspects of the work until his shoulder rehealed. Thankfully, his doctor said he didn't need surgery! Mike has been a great addition to "the guys". So today's photo is of Mike & his shingling at the back of 523.

Erik was over today for a walk-through to check the electrical layout before it becomes "permanent". His son will be over next week to talk about DirecTV, a Mac hookup & pre-planning a possible solar array in the future.

All day, the iPhone said it was raining in PT. SOOOOOOOOOO wrong. It was one of the BEST weather days yet & not a drop of rain! 63 felt like 83 & we had the most glorious sun all day long. My only concern is the fair-haired roofer who had his shirt off while at the top of the house. I hope he's not "crispy" tonight!
